I kind of remember watching the movie, “Blind Date” with Bruce Willis and Kim Basinger. Not a good testimonial to blind dates, was it? Does any blind date turn out well? For Tony Alvarado and Laura Cortez in my Christmas story, NO ACCOUNTING FOR LOVE, the blind date is – the end – or so they think. As the writer, I’m in charge, so I threw them together again – and again. Through the years, well-meaning friends introduced me to men. Unlike Laura, I didn’t go into a daze when I met them. Drat! However, I did dance with them and/ or have a drink with them – a few minutes of doing something else besides reading children’s’ stories or driving to the store for an item my sons forgot they needed for school the next day. What is your experience with blind dates?
